A lot of the lyrics for No Devolución were apparently influenced by Geoff's marriage being "on the rocks" as he says. I think much of this song is about trying to carry on with life and adjust to the changes that come with breaking up from a long-term relationship. As for the ending, it seems more about reflecting on the time before the relationship went wrong.. I think this part really captures the way life can be like a beautiful dream when you're with someone you love and it's all going well. I also read in an interview with Geoff that the ending melody was inspired by the Shudder to Think song X-French T-shirt.
