Maybe they're refering to the general topic of the song of the first place which is simply, 'Some people are set, and some are not'. I think by saying some go to baseball it's like a definete choice, and path in life for that matter. However, if someone goes base to base, they still haven't made up their mind on what to do, and that's probably cause of their damn problems, which of course are more than little.
