It's corny as hell, but this song saved my life. I was depressed for ~6 years (the feelings come and go now, but it doesn't hurt like it did.) and suicidal for most of that time. I'd held on for a long time, but after a lot of shit went down on top of the already existing depression, I was going to kill myself. I've never wanted to die, and this time was no exception, so I just repeated "when your life feels lost/fight against all odds/never give in/never back down" over and over to myself.
I know this song could be interpreted many ways (like not giving up your way of life instead of not giving up your life) but that's what it means to me.
