This song is transcendent of whatever genre/label people are going to try and affix to it. I'll probably post a more thorough analysis of my interpretation of it; but for now I believe it could be referring to Noah's creative struggle during the making of the album. He has said in a few interviews now that he compares the making of music to sport (specifically golf) in which you are competing against yourself and always trying to best your last effort. I imagine there's probably a lot more to it than that simple take on it...
This song is a perfect coda to this album, and it takes a pretty detached listener to not give in to the music when the song builds up to that moment when he first slips into falsetto.
