Epic story: This is the story of a high-class billionaire and his relationship with his equally powerful, successful wife whom he'd like to consider his trophy wife. They are two alpha people. The billionaire works a lot and doesn't have much time for his wife but he still has to try to please her since she cannot be bought.

"Stand up Put your good dress on And walk over here Sing me a song Get up On the starting line Put your good dress on"

The story starts off with the billionaire wanting to control what his wife does. He wants her put her good clothes on for him and be the model, trophy wife.

"I got time You know it's tickin' like a hurricane I got this guilt but no one else to blame I bought these shoes so you could walk away But you could not be bought"

He's a very busy man, a big business owner with not much time to spare for his wife. Time is ticking by so fast like a hurricane. He wants to rush back to his work and business meetings. He's guilty for not spending enough time with his wife but it's his choice to work so much. He would like to buy shoes or other expensive things for her to assuage his guilt. But she cannot be bought. She makes her own decisions.

"I got lies I try to silence all your cravings I got some time for good behavin' I really think I left you, baby Oh the fuck or two"

The lies refer to how he lies to himself about how is in control of things. He likes to think of himself as the one with the upper hand, who can emotionally leave his wife behind. But he is the one who has to satisfy her. He is getting her time because he behaved well. She is an equally busy woman who is calling the shots. He knows that he is lying to himself so that is why he says 'oh the fuck or two'.

"I can feel by the way you talk I can see it in the way you walk I can tell I'm gonna pay for it So put your good dress on

Busy, busy, combing your hair, With the heat turned on And you're driving your car too fast Gonna pay for it So put your good dress on"

This is his acknowledgement of her as an equally powerful, high class, alpha person. But if he is to bring his 'A' game, he wants her to as well.

I got dimes to pay for sodas and your sweet tooth To hike your skirt up in your phone booth To start a fight and say, 'I told you so' But you can not be bought

He is normally the one calling the shots with enough money to have the advantage, pay for things and have the upper hand in fights but he doesn't have that advantage with her since she cannot be bought

I never really loved you, You know, I never really needed to. You like the taste of my behaviour Mmmm, you walked into the room, And the future came with you.

Here he is lying to himself again. Not wanting to admit that she has any control over him. He likes to think that it is she who liked him. But then he admits that the future comes with her since she is so modern and stylish and he wants to have his future with her. But still, she should put her good dress on to still try to impress him.
