His lyrics read more like prose than anything, it's just so clear and simple it's hard to not find truth in it. As a 21 year old, it's hard not to reflect immediately on the few people who remain extremely close to me regardless of distance between us or time between meetings. And I've got one of those personalities very much so attached to little meaningful trinkets, a consequence of which is me always wearing a mood ring in remembrance of old friends. So you know. I really like this song!
