I think this song is a conversation between two characters.
One is a guy who wants to love someone, but only is noticed for his looks and so he is very vain and strives to keep those looks because he is afraid of being alone--he sees his looks as his only thing to offer women, and so he is very vain. "Call me whatever as long as you call me. I'm loveless and dying for a chance to hold someone's hand and share a moment (more than sex)." He thinks that his looks can get him any woman he wants. He says that "one sexy can't perplex me now", meaning the woman isn't going to confuse him by rejecting him. He wants her and more with her, so she should just give in.
On the flip side, the girl in the song is saying that she thinks he is crazy. She isn't swooning for his looks like everyone else (and he hasn't given her any other reason to care). His vanity is driving her away. She calls him Mr. Wrong over and over again.
After she rejects him, he blows it off and says that women all over the world want men like him and that she is going to regret it when she changes her mind and wants him. ("Whose gonna be the one to save you...when you want to take a bite?") He consoles himself saying that he has many women that want him and want to win his heart, and that he didn't mean the things he said before--they were just lines, so forget her.
I think he was rejected by the only woman he really, truly wanted and is surprised by the sting of rejection because he has never felt it before. It's a case of sour grapes--he can't have her so he didn't want her in the first place.
This is just my stab at the song meaning. I had never heard the song before today and so I came here to see what it could mean, but no one really commented on the meaning so I signed up for an account here, lol. I agree with ya'll that it is very catchy. It will probably be in my head for at least a week. Anyone have a different opinion or perspective as to what this song could mean?
Btw, the lyrics are a little off. She never says, "Call ME insane." She says, "Call HIM insane." It's funny how one word like that could change the entire meaning of the song.
