I picture a couple who is contemplating breaking up. It seems like they have just had another fight and both are wondering if this is the fight to end all. I love the part "We don't ride, We don't ride to sunset, We just ride until our last breath." I think it shows that even if this couple were going to stay together this time, they both know it will end eventually, their just not meant to be. Although the song has a pretty basic breakup or future breakup theme I think the lyrics are done in a sweet way where the listener can see that the couple still cares for each other especially in the line "We're meant to part sweeter." I have no idea what the 9669 number means. If anyone has some insight to that let me know. Just my interpretation, could mean anything.
