I think it's about conformity to one's wishes. Maybe in a parent-child relationship, maybe in a lover-lover relationship... maybe even friend-friend. The dominant partner in whichever relationship wishes for the submissive partner to submit to them and what they want out of that person, but maybe doesn't make it apparent, like in most relationships. It's hard to tell what others want without being told, so the dominant partner is making the submissive partner "sing along to songs they don't know." Which is difficult because they don't know what's expected. But despite that confusion, the dominant partner wants to keep the other as their own; "lock them in their house," "keep them as their guest," "feed them with their spoon." They want the partner to become their perfect little person. That's what I think anyway! :D
