I don't get the "Shut up you whiny emo bitch" vibe at all from this song. From what I've gathered that's far from anything Rise Against would ever do.
I find it hilarious the way people seem to believe that EVERYONE have the exact same amounts of problems. Rise Against focuses a lot on reaching out to victimized people. Even the title of this specific album is "The Sufferer and the Witness".
I think it's all about giving support to people who are depressed while gently reminding them that they're not the only ones with problems. "Take a number, stand in line" Not everybody in the emergency room are there for the same reason. Even if some are worse off than others, they're still not the only ones whos problems matters. Just like they're worse than the people there, there are those who are worse off than them.
...and then there's always this one bitch who's there for absolutely ridiculous stuff.
