Kind of a different take on it here, but with the title being Call to Arms, I think the song is supposed to be a message home from a troops to his worrying family, trying to comfort them and let them know that he will be fine as long as they have strength and believe in him. On a more general scale, this song is simply about self sacrifice and trying to give hope to another who is going through a difficult time.
