I think that they were intoxicated and she wanted to go home so he was driving the car. They got in a crash and she's probably in some sort of in between state(hence the numbness) on the verge of death. The fact that she mentions the clock ticking and staying just tonight probably means that she is going to die but she is hanging on to life for the rest of the night. She is blaming him for the accident though, so maybe they were in a bad relationship and she doesn't mind blaming him for all the things he's done. Not sure if this is correct but this is how I see it.

I would also think they are in a car crash, but my guess is that they leave because they are fighting. Never drink and drive and never drive angry.
