Fuck Seether. I heard this song on the radio, and a few things:
1) they got the lyrics wrong. At least, in the song I heard, they said, "A head full of lies is the waste tied to my waist". It was pretty obvious this is what he sang, and I don't see how he could have sung anything else.
2) they fuck up the entire song. i guess you'd have to hear it, but seriously, fuck these guys. This is the second song by Layne Staley that other people have covered that ended up sucking hard.
3) no one should be allowed to cover anything Layne Staley has ever done. You should listen to the original Mad Season song, it's amazing and powerful. Again, fuck this band.

Your thoughts on no band not being able to cover anything Layne Staley has done is plain wrong. Layne Staley was not Alice in Chains, or Mad Season. He was a part of those band, and helped to make it unique and memorable. He was not a solo artist. What about the great things Jerry Cantrell added to the band?
