This song has a huge amount of meaning for me, because I totally agree with it. I think Marina is singing about how she needs her life to be something more than what other people have, she will never be satisfied with an average life, but she is happy to wait for her life to become extraodinary. I think that is the simple analysis, and that is exactly how I feel about life, and that's why I struggle not to cry everytime I hear this song.
Another analysis I think I can see is that the song is in two voices, one (presumably Marina) who wants a great, above average life, and another who just sits around withing for things to happen. I think Marina is the one who says lines like 'High achiever, don't you see?

I absolutely love this song, it really gets me every time, it's basicly my anthem, because I want to decide which voice I am, because right now I'm the second, and I don't like that, and I think that's what the song it about.
