Allow me a different take. I was in high school when "Days of Future Past" was released. A group of friends concluded after smoke and debate that the Moody Blues were imparting a transcendant message. We spent hours meditating on the manada on "In search of the Lost Chord" and chanting the mantra "om". Now imagine our disappointment, when on the "Seventh Sojourn", they admit they're just "singers in a rock n roll band". This could have been in answer to all their drug addled admirers who were missing the fact that, like us, they where muddling through life and searching for meaning.
So what happened on my existential journey? I became a nihilist!
