Cover art for Crush Resistance lyrics by Haste the Day

This is the most epic and powerful song I've ever heard! It's definitely written from the wolf's perspective as prawns said. The resistance is Christianity. The wolf (satan here) seeks to crush it before it gets out of hand since we, as Christians, are here to spread the word to unbelievers. It's pretty self explanatory but I'll post my interpretation anyway b/c the song is awesome.

Storm the halls and all the rooms And break resistance All who will choose the narrow road Will be the victims Crush resistance!

The ones who choose the narrow road are the Christians. He's telling his minions to target us because we are responsible for the resistance that keeps him from ruling without opposition.

Withdraw the power Seek to bring down the leader Devour the smallest of the pride And wring the blood from your fur

The leaders here would be the Christians who actively seek to save the lost by preaching the gospel. It also says in the third line to devour the smallest which would be the weaker Christians as prawns stated.

For they're as white as the morning, But they are weak from the need to forgive Cover yourselves with the flesh of their fallen

Here the wolf identifies what he believes to be our weakness which is the need to forgive. he tells them to cover themselves with the flesh of our fallen which means to use those who have already strayed from God to bring down the rebels (Christians)

And dress for the banquet For they are weak and unknowing! Dress for the banquet For the rain is falling from the

I feel this is the most powerful part of the song. It shows how little satan thinks of us. he tells his soldiers to dress for the banquet indicating how easily he expects to take us down. This is supported by the line "For they are weak and unknowing". Referring to those who are not strong in their faith and those who are unaware of the war going on here on Earth.

(Chrous)

The chorus is like a battle cry given to the wolves for motivation. The "grey sky" refers to the fact that they feel are almost finished and there is little fighting left to do. Once the last of us are devoured, the sky will turn to night and they will have their victory.

As I send you out Into the shadow Lurk the woods And every dark place!

These are the wolf's final orders. He sends the wolves out into the "shadow" and "every dark place" where they will be difficult to see and identify.
