I like to interpret this song like this-
There are two people on the verge of love.
They hang out, spend the night ect. however
they always sleep in the same bed.
the narrator realizes his love first.
He is frustrated bc the girl won't
admit to love. "something you got but
you never show."
He doubts himself when he says "I
don't know just where you are." He's
not gonna give up though. He's says
"lover's never sleep alone" as proof
to her that she likes him back.
