I'd say this song's about the average person's obsession with famous people. They constantly keep up with the person's life (through magazines,television, etc.), but the famous person of course has no idea they exist, and could probably care less (Cause I'm just some kid you'll think about maybe in passing,

They'd never want to actually meet the person, because they're image of them would be shattered (like porcelain).
