A bonus track from Smoke and Mirrors, this album contains a lot of reflections of relationships old and new, showing how people make the wrong decisions and things don't always work out.
This song I think shows us somebody who is becoming independent, "Breakdown, all around the world is off my shoulder" says that everything around him is changing, perhaps a relationship, or friendships.
"You say a hard rain's gonna fall, but I'm not afraid" This suggests somebody has strong opinions that he isn't capable of what he wants to do, or that there's going to be a lot of hardship ahead, but either way, he's going to do what he needs to.
"In the space where we are now, everything is clear" He is happy with somebody, and as long as he has his connection with them, everything else doesn't matter.
"Don't wake me when it's over now" is the part where he sounds afraid, or disinterested. As if somebody might be dying, or leaving, or something is going to change, which he doesn't want to acknowledge, or perhaps he no longer cares for what this person is saying, so he's saying. "Leave me alone, I don't want to deal with your problems now"
