I love this song because it's so untouched. It's a real, unadulterated Breaking Benjamin song. Whenever it comes on, I just smile. I can't help it.

To me, it's about having walked away from something but still being able to come back to it. In the mix, there's anger "you hate me? take me." and confusion "you need me? keep me. leave me haunted by what i burned down." in that one line, he says "keep me," followed by "leave me," showing that things may keep going back and forth. I feel like everyone likes to equate BB's songs to drugs or relationships, but I feel like this one could have been just based on a friendship that was falling apart. He just didn't care enough to repair it, which lead to a chaotic, semi-destroyed friendship And that's the point where the song is written. He ends by saying he hasn't ruined it all yet, knows he very well could, but also doesn't know what to do in general, with the line "what more could I do, to you, to lose the things that I haven't yet?"

I just love this song so much. It's interesting. It's pure.

But that's just my two cents ^_^
