This song and it's counterpart are based of failing relationships and not wanting to let the person go hence the "move on with you and only with you" lines. Even though the songs are something of an apology for leaving. The last verse of this part are directed to my daughter. As a parent I'd rather see her live her life and be happy with every ounce of her life no matter what. But you can also take it as something of a if your happier away from where you were. I don't know.
