The album this is from- Conference of the birds is also the name of a poem by some persian dude (Farid ud-Din Attar ).
Can anyone confirm if the lyrics are an actual extract from the poem ?
I have read that poem recently, and the lyrics are inspired in that spiritual flights and metafores, but it isnt an extract of that text (the way both are written differ a lot in style, for example)

Om, to my point of view, just extracts while simultaneously preserves or respects the imagery of a lot of spiritual traditions (sufism or mystical islamism in this case, but I see lot of references too of budism, hinduism, monotheistic religions, and deeper and more esoteric Kabbalistic references and occultism)...
Everything focused in the aspect of spiritual evolution, trascendence, etc..
