I think it is about a relationship with a superficial girl. One that lies, obviously.
1st stanza - He mentions Hades (Hell), where she is tonight. She makes a lot of mistakes and he expects her to learn and improve, but she doesn't. He is giving her one more chance to prove herself (by tomorrow we should know).
2nd stanza - This could mean one of two things in my opinion. 1. If her tongue is tasting the sky then she is on her back. And if she is in hell then isn't she dead? Her tongue is tasting the sky because she is laying in her casket. and her lying while shes dead, well that simply mean it was a continuous flaw in her, one that she cant even escape in death. 2. I initially pictured this as a giddy-like girl, the superficial type who is self centered etc. I envisioned this girl standing up with her hands in the air, head back, and tongue out. I think this represents her attempt at blocking out the burdens of the relationship and living in her own space. She appears happy but isn't. That is the case with a lot of the girls of that stereotype. A very selfish personality.
3rd stanza - I have no clue what falling through this roof means. If she is in hell, then the roof could be the foundation in between life and hell. Hells roof = lifes floor. But since he is calling it a roof it hints to the fact that is he also in hell. This is backed up by the lyric of coming in two. Where she goes, he goes.
The repetition of like it was once alludes to the timeless cycle of their relationship, not growing.
This is far from complete and I am still lost in these lyrics so please feel free to criticize.
