"she slams the door then hitched a ride
her sights set on intent to die
there's no forgiveness in living
he picks her up and ties the rope so tight
her cuffs are sweling black and blue
pinching and bleeding"
The girl in this story is obviously fed up with something that's happened in her life, and in frustration slams the door. In a suicidal mindstate, and a suicide plan that has been planned out ahead of time, she goes on with the first step and hitches a ride from a complete stranger to somewhere she could carry the action out. The man was obviously the wrong person to kill herself in front of, and also has a twisted mind, so he picks her up and ties her up extremely tight.
"she lifts the mask and screams
where have you been?
i wanna die, i wanna die
i am the willing
he says you're wrong don't lie to me
i've picked you up to you free
it's just your body i'm stealing"
The man was most likely a criminal of sorts (Most likely a rapist). She was probably expecting him to kill her off somehow if her plans failed, but he has much better plans in store for them. So he tells her "you're wrong, you don't want this" and precedes to rape her in a masochistic fashion, and according to the moans and screams of pain and pleasure, she enjoys it.
"we fall, we fall in love
with strangers killing time
we fall, we fall in love
with strangers in the night"
She falls in love with the rapist (Stockholm syndrome) and has no idea who he even is. It took place during nightfall, which is perfect for various wrongdoings such as rape and suicide.
"so how's the hour
say your prayers and goodbyes
to a god who doesn't care
who doesn't mind"
The girl is still done with life and still wants death. Even moreso now that she has fallen in love with someone she will potentially never see again and never truly know, making her already depressing mindstate worse. She most likely goes through with it, because if "god minded", why would he let such a despairing event happen? So it was the hour she would kill herself, and said her final goodbyes.
It's just in my own perspective. Even if its not what the song meant, it would make for an interesting book. But I think thats what it ultimately means.
