but i think it's about his girlfriend cheating on him and the whole burying her in his backyard is a metaphor~

maybe he tested her by asking her if she was cheating and she asked him something like why can't you have faith that i wouldn't do that?
and then "Oh no I can see you've been lying through your teeth"
basically she's been lying about cheating.
"There's no way that I could just let it slide, I did this to you, I did this to you"
he can't just let this go and forgive her, although i'm not totally sure what he means when he says i did this to you. maybe he pushed her away and didn't care for her enough and that led to her cheating on him.
"I hope you are ready to leave this place cause you are going either way, We've fallen far too distant."
even if she quits cheating he's going to break up with her because it's severed their relationship with no hope of fixing it.
