Given how this song is both genuinely dark and humorous, I always change my mind when I listen to this song on whether or not the singer will actually commit suicide or whether it's just a threat to get his point across--the growing tone behind the lyrics at the "you'll be sorry when I'm dead" means that, again, maybe he won't really kill himself, but he definitely feels the sentiment behind it. The overarching theme doesn't really seem to be about his ex or even his suicide, it's his pride reacting to and driving these events.
