To add to what notsohardxcore was saying: I agree, although he may not have even really loved her, but definitely thought he did. The part "I'm too full to swallow my pride" is really important, because this song really is about him not wanting to lose her, but if he has to lose her he's not going down without the last word. Given how this song is both genuinely dark and humorous, I always change my mind when I listen to this song on whether or not the singer will actually commit suicide or whether it's just a threat to get his point across--the growing tone behind the lyrics at the "you'll be sorry when I'm dead" means that, again, maybe he won't really kill himself, but he definitely feels the sentiment behind it. The overarching theme doesn't really seem to be about his ex or even his suicide, it's his pride reacting to and driving these events. I mean, even though the title is "Can't Stand Losing You," when you listen to the song, that phrase appears precious little in the lyrics. What you hear over and over again, however, is "I can't stand losing, I can't stand losing..."
