Great song, pretty much like all Lamb of God songs. When it comes down to it, the only meaning lyrics really have depends on how the listener interprets them. Due to the current uproar in Egypt and other middle eastern countries, I tend to interpret this in the first person as a group together as one, in the word 'I', rather than just one individual. And their message is directed to a despot tyrant that is about to be rescinded by the people.
Governments should operate to serve and protect the people. If they fail at this they should be abolished and reconstructed.
