To me, this song has to do with the fear and reluctance of letting yourself fall in love or admitting to yourself or to the other person that you are. Especially where he says "And i've never known a world where someone like me could fall down to only be caught, dont know how you turned on the light but now i can see". It's like he's singing about the regret of letting yourself go too late- that he took the "leap" too late- and losing that special person because of that reluctance and now has to move on.
It's an extremely beautiful song and one of my favourites off of the newest album, without a doubt!
