The second verse is what brings me to tears. This is a heavily political song about the West bank, there is no doubt about that.

As a person with deep sympathy for all the suffering people in the West bank and Palestine, and as a person on the left wing of politics, this song is really strong for me. Just the idea of the second verse is so sad. I'm born and raised in Sweden, although we have our hardships in the western world as well that should, by no means, be treated condescendingly — I could never imagine living in a country where there are checkpoints everywhere and walls surrounding me and my family.
