My first impression of the song was that it was a sort of prologue to the play. The music video's set on a stage as well which kind of backs it up.
That's funny. I assumed it was Sebastian due to Saint Sebastian, who has been a somewhat homo-erotic icon in art since the Renaissance. He's almost always portrayed nearly nude, with a classical male physique, and being pierced by arrows (the symbolism is pretty obvious).
