Lyric discussion by revanchist

Cover art for Wicker Man lyrics by Bruce Dickinson

This song seems to be more about the celtic ritual than the 1973 movie. According to Julius Caesar the Wicker Man was used for human sacrifices to praise the gods. However some believe that this was rather war propaganda and there were no human sacrifices.

Anyway, there's just one thing I don't know about these lyrics. What is the "hill of Tarna"?

@revanchist I keep seeing this mistake everywhere. It shouldn't be Tarna. It's the Hill of Tara, which is a ancient Celtic hill in Ireland which used to be ruled by Celtic Kings and Beltaine fires would be lit at every year at the festival of Beltaine. It fits in perfectly within the context of the lyrics yet all of the lyric websites seem to get it wrong.
