IMO this song is underrated, well i don't think that it has a deeper meaning than what is shown because the descriptions are precise "you're the rider of the desert sands"
But what struck me most about this song is the second solo, very few instrumentalists can combine a quiet and powerful effect on a solo AND match the theme of the song (which is more "heavy"), i heard something close to that in Master Of Puppets, but the way Iron Maiden make it is far more delicate
