The first verse says she went to the depths of the earth maybe analogous to despair and she crawls out to knock on someone's door but no one's available for her. The second verse she lifts herself up to the clouds and wants to share that spirit by raining down love but no one received it so she's moving on with dignity and not going back. I can relate.
