Very Frustrating when people call this a Diss track to tupac and his entourage. Biggie and Tupac never had a problem with each other! this is made clear when Tupac says " rest in peace to my ni**a biggie smalls" on his track God Bless the Dead.
The problem with the situation was the U.S government actually afraid of the gangsta Hip-Hop that was being created in the early 90's the media portrayed the whole West side East side beef which never actually exsisted until Tupac got shot... The media automatically picked East coast rivalry as the reason he got shot!
Not a bad track but never his best!
biggie smalls is a reference to a member of the live squad notnotorious big. (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAfj-E_zR7g). Secondly, BIG was passed away after tupac so your logic does not follow. Although the media esculated the hype, often where there is smoke there if fire. Biggy had no need to directly speak of pac in this track as it was a means to send a message without incrimination. All we know is that the timing of the tracks release is interesting even though Bad Boy claimed it was written prior to tupacs 1994 shooting.
