This song seems to fit pretty well in my life at the moment...
I don't think this song is about cheating so much as I think it could be about some form of addiction. Like maybe alcohol or drugs. Mostly because of the line "Do you believe, that the way you choose to be, I've always had to see the brighter side of things so I don't lose my faith." Like, her choosing to live the way she does is killing him.

I can relate to that... My boyfriend drinks a lot, and I'm a very fragile individual who's against that. He's gotten drunk a few times around me, and it really bothers me.. Yet he acts like it's nothing; apathetic. I'm afraid this issue could make or break our relationship... I'm holding on for now though.
I agree with this also. Apathy is a deal breaker for me in any relationship. While I've never struggled to maintain a relationship with someone who has a serious addiction, I have several people who were just apathetic about EVERYTHING (Themself, Me, The relationship, Those around them, etc...).
