Personally, what I've drawn from this song is just someone who feels lost in our world. They're sick of everything occurring around them because it's so chaotic. Obviously they're torn, heartbroken and have no where/no one to reach out to. And because of this, they're reaching out to someone they love - someone who they hope will notice them in this pit of misery. And help them out of him. Helping them out of the dark, to see light again.
