This song was writen in a few minutes and was all about Dennis, or rather a girl he was dating at the time. She was waiting for him in her T-bird outside the recording studio one afternoon and the rest of the guys watched them drive off together and apparently Mike Love, being completely jealous of Dennis said to the others in a spiteful way "she'll have fun until her daddy takes that t-bird away" and Brian being as switched on as her was back then immediately had the idea to write a song and the 4 beach boys who were left went straight back into the studio and punched this tune out within half an hour. Thats what I heard anyway - Maybe someone can clarify.
