Supermassive Black Hole Lyrics

To start off, I'd like to say that, well, a song isn't really a song unless it can be interpreted in more than one way, depending on the listener. This isn't at all a bad song; it's just less opinionated than most other Muse songs, and it's catchy, somewhat repititive nature has likened it to the shallow pop-music so common on our radios nowadays. It refers to a relationship based on appearances ("queen of the superficial"), held by curiosity (as in, he is attracted to the mystery, knowing that there is more than what meets the eye). He discovers more about this person all the time, melting away her pretences ("glaciers melting in the dead of night"), as if she were something of an ice-queen. He believes she holds the upper-hand, because she knows he's not going anywhere as long as he is held by mystery. *Note: Most Muse songs seem to be about this selfish, victimized sort of relationship.
