It's really hard to say. She writes things that you'd only understand if you at least knew a subject and it makes it difficult to understand because she's not being too specific. My best two guesses are she could be talking a father (could be hers) having affairs with other people as she mentions "he shuffles the queen around in a deck of cards" and it breaking her heart to see her family torn to pieces by it. the rest of the lyrics suggest differently. my better guess is that it's just about a boyfriend (maybe hers) of a long time is cheating on her as she says "it saddens me to know you could start a new life leaving everything behind". or i actually have a third idea of what this could be. merge the two and her father is cheating on her. they do live in the south you know. lol. jk krysta.
