Everything Must Go Lyrics

This song is also a perfect synopsis for any geek entrepreneur that was part of the Dot-com rollercoaster of the 90s -- jumped into business with what seemed like a great idea, lived like a rock star for a few years and when the bottom dropped out of the dot-com stocks, everything went to hell. The song is a mirror of how I felt during those days when the boardrooms and lavish offices were empty, only the owners were left to deal with the bankruptcy attorneys, and the asset liquidators lazily came into the picture to take it all away to auction.

My Interpretation

@MaxNomad Yes Max, I believe you have the analysis correct. I think it’s about the loss of a younger company after 9/11 and the tech meltdown. Enron was too big to “dissolve the corporation in a pool of margaritas“. Hit home with me, I had to do it with my young tech company. ???? Great song off the title-track album.
