This song is pretty confusing to me, but I think the message is sort of about how we're always chasing after an exciting lifestyle. When everyone's doing this and it becomes normal, the pace of life picks up and becomes almost louder until you have to scream to overpower it (just paraphrasing the song there). The bridge part (AKA the best part of the song) I think talks about when things finally slow down and we realize all the fast paced living "normalized us and paralyzed us and left us with a sadness". I really am not sure about this, but I can't think of anything else for now. I wouldn't say this is a "Christian interpretation", but the song is an honest reflection on life that stays in line with Christian values.
BTW this is one of my favorite songs. I think the driving, ahead-of-the beat rhythm coincides with this interpretation, which is cool.
