I doubt these lyrics are serious. The only "track record our history shows" of end-times prophecies have always been wrong, and it's been predicted hundreds of times. I suppose there is always the chance of stupid paranoid people unintentionally causing massive problems as a self-fulfilling prophecy but as far as those calendars go there is no reason to assume their ending on that date means apocalypse. Worst I can see happening is a bad solar maximum f*cking up our satellites and electronics. I am sure security measures are being put in place for it.
