I agree with magical...this lyric sounds as if it's about being on the outer of someone's love and affection. She has has allowed him to drag her along for the ride and while she doesn't like it, it's really all she got to hold onto...if she wants him, she'll let him take everything of her and even the other woman, the object of his attention and the object that's in her way. On the other side, she is the one who 'takes everything'and files it all away in the hope of them being together... and fakes everything...believing that he wants her and not the other woman and she saves any scrap of him in her for her longing heart...Who hasn't bloody been there!
