What I don't get is whether it is six years since he met God (although could be any loved one), or he feels like he only really has six years left before some deadline (like "I'll wait for you until I am 30" or "I'll give this music thing a try until I am 40" either way, he then adds "if there is no success, I am moving on, but I have faith I won't be").
