Procession Lyrics

This strikes me as a song from an ironic point of view, a man consumed by anger trying to start a war.

"I have never felt so proud as I do now."

This strikes me as nationalistic pride

"Like the sun is placed behind me."

A refference to how the egyptians and later the christians put a sun behind or on the head of important or holy figures. Some emperors have proclaimed themselves to be gods, so this doesn't seem very farfetched.

"One day we'll see our names in stone where fires burn. The great who silent stood among you never praised nor never known. Our thoughts defined the passing days. Sensed the spirit, seized the age."

This entire segment just screams, to me, that they believe the world will go up in flames after they're dead, or a refference to judgement day. Ranting about the ones among an "enemy" nation or a group of people who didn't praise their god or somesuch, their thoughts, their religious ideals forming the new laws and rules of a conquered city or country. Seizing the age, as in establish a power that will last for centuries.

"And we who were so scorned will always wish to make their end. Our words to still their voice. Our hands to break their worthless necks."

An obvious rant about the hatred toward the "non-believers"

The entire last segement reffers to a conquered region, how their laws and rules have shaped the world, that previous heroes have been unpraised, noone believes in them anymore.

Having lived terribly all this time for to "dream again", Cheering the path of tomorrow's glory days, continueing to live in ignorance and terrible living conditions in the hope tomorrow will be better because of some god or deity, the one they've said would come tomorrow for a looong time
