To the powerful extra terrestrials (super heroes) earth is a feast where they can satisfy their needs (taste the flesh) at the expense of the inferior humans. The humans are aware they're being exploited (the flesh not yet deceased... still the beast is feeding) and wonder about what it all means.
I kinda like this meaning. It's one of my favorite songs in the movies, but I have no freaking idea what I'm supposed to make of it. I kinda thought it was about how Brad and Janet, after this whole ordeal have to try to make sense of their lives. They feel used, and don't know how to mesh the incongruities between their happy and prudish lives before and now after, but I like your meaning, too!
