In my opinion, this song is about Klayton being beaten up as a kid. He often says in interviews and in his blogs that he got his ass kicked in school. A lot.

perhaps was never sure of the reasons he was picked on.

-other kids took advantage of him and he never stood up for himself, just did as he was told and acted as they thought he should, leaving him to be their target.

-again, kids taking advantage of him and the way he thinks he should act in front of them, to pick fights and do stupid things, only to be beaten up by them later.

here it seems like he's accepting that this is not the real him. He hides his feelings and blindly follows the others without question, either in fear if losing his image or being used/ beat up again etc. He believes what the others tell him he is.
