They're always asking why it never makes sense, and they come to the conclusion that all religions are wrong and that to fully understand the god (that's "beyond space and time" that the scriptures and the biblical texts presents) he must step inside the universe to clear the confusion, but he's not because the real god isn't close to being what people think. And as much as it seems to people that they may be blaspheming, they're trying to clear up the confusion and make it clearer that the real god or creator is better than what any religion has come close to explaining. Anthony is being really conscious about his surroundings and his place in the universe and that it's beyond anything anyone had imagined, with "allowance received and I can't believe there's anything like this" where allowance means this jackpot of a realization. And then with "'cause if you're half as good as you say you are, then you can prove anything to us" means that the abrahamic god isn't truth, because if he really is half as good, he could easily clear up the confusion and vagueness that the bible presents.
