The song is about a guy who meets a girl "waay above his league" but they fell in love and now he looks back at that moment when he was in love with that girl and how they both tried to save their relationships, untill a point when she "ran away". Jackson sort of describe how the love for this girl was so strong that he didn't see the consequences about their relationships.
