I think there's another side to this song, especially visible in the reference to "17 months" - that's a LONG time when you think about it, almost a year and a half. She was hit very hard by the breakup, and it's taken her a long time to get over it ("just as soon as I'm on top of my life") and has in part gotten over it by convincing herself that it must have hit the guy just as hard, if not harder ("I bet you've been crying, I bet you've been going around town lying"). The fact she repeats the line "I feel fine" sounds like it's an attempt to convince herself, rather than a simple statement of fact.

When she sees that he's moved on she realises that the relationship always meant more to her than it did to him, and that she's still hung up on him. It's not so much anything to do with him specifically that's getting to her, as the fact she's not as strong as she thought she was, and he's just the catalyst for that. The closeout is a weird mix of trepidation, as she realises this about herself, and optimism, as she sees that the fact she finally recognises it is going to give her the strength she's been lacking all along.

As for the idea that the song is a diss on Amelle Berrabah, while I'm happy to believe that it's not the core intention of the song, the irony can hardly have been lost on Mutya or Groove Armada while they were recording it...
